Welcome Our New Organist David A. Hairston, II

Joins the Grace Family on September 3rd
We would like to welcome our new organist Mr. David Hairston II.  He attended Hofstra University’s Early Childhood Center, The Waldorf School of Garden City and Westminister Choir College.  He belongs to The American Guild of Organists  (AGO) NYC Chapter, Music Educators National Conference (NAfME), and The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).

He has performed with Westminster Chapel Choir, toured as Tenor II and pre-concert organist at various universities and churches in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Indiana, West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin under the baton of James M. Jordan. Also with the Westminster Symphonic Choir as Tenor II with the New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia orchestras and the American Boys' Choir at various concert halls including Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall (Lincoln Center), Trenton War Memorial, Philadelphia Academy of Music, and many others under the Artistic Director Joseph Flummerfelt and the batons of Wolfgang Sawallish, Ricardo Muti, Kurt Masur, and Zdenek Macal.  Major symphonic works such as Dvorak's Stabat Mater, Brittan's War Requiem, Orff's O Fortuna, Brahms' Eine Deutches Requiem, Honegger's Jeanne D'Arc and others were recorded on compact disc and sold under such lables as Delos and Telarc.

His solo performances include The Waldorf School of Garden City, NY, Highland Hall Waldorf School of Northridge, CA, St. Matthew's Lutheran Church of Canarsie, NY, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Collingswood, NJ, Christ's First Presbyterian Church of Hempstead, NY, Cathedral of the Incarnation (LI Episcopal Diocese), Garden City, NY, Trinity Cathedral (S. Jersey Episcopal Diocese), Trenton, NJ, and Federated Church, Marlboro, NH

We are very blessed to have such a accomplished individual join our church family and look forward to him enriching our church and day school music program. 
Choir practice is next Thursday, September 5th at 7:30pm.  Here is an excellent opportunity for some new voices to join our Choir.   Think about it.
